Manchester-Marie Reine (Irene) Frechette, 99 formerly of 55 So. Main St., Died February 26, 2008 at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born in St. Zepherin de Courval, PQ , Canada on January 29, 1909 the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Lupien) Letendre and had been a resident of this city most of her life.
She retired from J.F. McElwain Shoe Com. In 1972 with many years of service. She also worked at Fanny Farmer Candy Shop. She volunteered for the American Red Cross for over 10 years, was a member of Prime Time, AARP and RSVP. She was also a parishioner of St. Raphael Church and a member of Ladies of St. Anne of Sacred Heart Parish.
She was predeceased by her husband Lucien Frechette in 1972 and a son Robert Frechette in 2007.
IN HER LIFE: She leaves a daughter Lorraine George and her husband Walter of Goffstown, a daughter in-law Lorraine Frechette of West Melbourne, FL., 6 grandchildren, David Frechette, Michelle Kennedy, Susan Giera, Michael George, Cheryl Dupuis and Christine Infantine,11 greatgrandchildren, 1 great-greatgranddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 PM at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 am in St. Raphael Church.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to Mt. Carmel Health Care Center, 235 Myrtle St., Manchester, NH 03104.
